and Steve Harmon present; they were excellent.
Kai Westmoreland- The Great Depression. Dr. Westmoreland explores the Great Depression in
terms of the stock market crash, the economy, income distribution, and international and federal
factors. The suffering that millions of American families endured during the depression is
brought to life by Dr. Westmoreland’s captivating style of persenting. ($500 plus expenses)
Steve Harmon- World War II. What better person to speak about World War II than one of the
156,000 Allied Soldiers who crossed the English Channel in the D-Day invasion of France in
June 1944? Harmon’s presentation depicts the grim realities of a wolrd war through the eyes of a
young soldier. ($350 plus expenses)
Memebers who attended this year’s convention recommended two other presenters-Tayt
McCauley and Judith Earnhardt. McCauley’s presentations on women’s suffrage. I have
contacted them, but I’ve not yet heard from them. As soon as I do, I will get the information to
