Dunno how many of you noticed, but how long did this last?
The server had a massive targeted DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack. The techs at the datacentre where the server is located changed the server IP's to prevent it from damaging the server, but sent the e-mail to one that was located on the server, and seeing as the server was down as the IP's had been changed, I had no way of reaching this e-mail to change the nameserver addresses. Eventually after 2 hours, I got through and changed the IP's, which in turn took some 8 hours to properly propagate. In between this, I had everyone where I am working now asking why everything was down, and had a shitload of work to do.
One of the most stressfull days ever, the fuck that DDoS'd deserves to be raped up the ass with a fucking knife.
