As you may know, relitavely recently, the world seems to be stamping out on all groups like us. The following groups have been already treated to this- TBF, SCP, LNDL, FAT VIDEOS, CAMERA JUNKIES and now LUNATICKS. It may seem stupid, we have to take action. Whatever anyone says, it is happening. the groups above have had to take the first of this. To stop this, we are gonna need to do something. What that is, or what precuations they are is unknown to me.
But some ideas I have are as follows- a passowrd only section, it will reduce the available number of visitors to areas but will reduce the likely ness of unneeded eyes seeing the site. Most sites have a disclaimer, but of course that doesnt provide much protection. Any other ideas are extremely welcomed.
You can laugh at this thread, but slowly and surely people are starting to talk out against homegrown groups. And 99% of the time, it is serious and involves legal action. I dont want critical affliction to be targeted by newspapers, the media, or generally upset people about the things we do as much as anyone does. Thats why we have to take measures to try and stop this from happening.

the police can only do so much they shut down your site, duh make another and keep your selvs on the down low till they get bored, thats what we had to do this year,

nah my parents are cool with it, they know all about it and basically dont give a shit, but im saying this for everyone, not just me. And no, we dont have any illegal vids on our website as far as I know. And I know they can't stop us doing what we do, but they can screw up our website and the internet e.t.c. which just happens to be a main part of how ppl can acces us.

thts the thing, we actually dont kno the legalities of some issues.

some of the issues brought up for lndl, I have actually never had knowledge of before.

Yer, I mean, at the end of the day I can pretty much say that all of the groups here were born out of generally having a laugh and messing around. And we don't want to ever be took to court or anythign serious like that, when we were only having fun. And of course, we are never going to have a lawer at this age, and know any of the laws they could bring out against us.

Its simple, don't hurt underage human beings badly, and you won't get charged, or hassled. Don't film or show any homegrown clips at school and you won't get hassled.

99% of the time, its just in the spur of the moment that someone tries to be stupid and show whatever to a teacher, or a parent gets anal. Keep it within your group and the internet, and friends..then nothing will happen. If your parents are cool with everything, then thats perfect....

we have had afew topics around this subject now.

I have been talking to some people about getting a consent form made out to stop GBH charges from popping up like LNDL has.

But the main problem really is your always going to get the "Jackass" badge stuck to all of these groups.... and with that comes people stamping that image on you... now I dont think Jackass is bad... But the media does as most people who read there papers are 25-80yrs old.... and most hate the whole image of kids making problems... and the whole chav image.

if we could get a group of us to find all the legal sides of all these issues before they pop backup then it would be great... but getting that to happen is te hard part as most groups dont think it will happen to them.

You always get the people who say " if the media/cops do anything ill tell them to fuck off". but that is on a message board... in real life I am sure it will be different... and if tehy did say that... well good luck.

I think theres going to be a big crack down now in england. and HGF is going to get smaller because of it. the only safe groups will be the over 18s.

so the only thing we can do to try to fight it is sort out some legal notes...

we learned the hard way on what we could do in our small town, we went to court filming for our 2 vid it was really messed up as well

but then you learn what to do and not to do where you live, not to give cops your stuff till you make another copy, and that they need a warrent to search your stuff

Yeah, but like I said before...its none of the police's rights to interfere, if you don't fuck up other people's shit and don't blast minors with fire, then nothing will happen.

Besides, I think everyone is over reacting a bit on this, the police arn't going to bother trying to shut down and charge groups for basically doing nothing illegal..

Thats the sort of thing I am talking about little bits of info that everyone pics up.

Then all groups know the rights and what the cops can and cant do.

word, if you get introuble with the police don't even mention you have a group, most police officers just will think it's kids being kids

thats what they basicly did for us cause they didn't know it was going on the internet

hence the reason for this thread. And the other thing is, oce the media have thier story/ case, there's no stopping what they can do.

With CJ being shut down I am sure they know about this place now... and with LNDL also its more media looking.... which is why its good this is members only now.

So if anything is going to happen do it now before its too late.

I agree. I dont wanna see underage groups get shut down...

lucky im 20

and the rest of retardz turn 18 before summer

Ahh shit, that means us at CA being 14/15 this year are gonna have to avoid media contact for a few years. As others have said, I doubt anything will ever happen to us, but you can never tell, so we all need to be aware.

Well a keped the word of homegrown groups really low...I never mentioned anything.. I only said I know there are many groups like ourselfs around UK, Europe and America. But taking precautions wont hurt anyone, the cops havent contacted us so looks like we will not get into trouble, but we are cutting down on the filming atm, so gona do more like extreme sports filiming and add in couple of stunts in between and shit. But atm half of the guys have important exams also.

If you are planning to make and sell your own dvd and would like to profit from what you do...you need to learn that there is no such thing as bad publicity. Send those journalist my way if you dont want the coverage. [email address redacted]

once ive sorted my new office, I will be starting on the new wkh site, for our new videos, but also the new site will have a great big homegrown part, it will be news, interviews with groups and just a place to show your videos. This I think will make the groups strong, and not want to drop out as there apart of somthing big, this might even help to the new market of homegrown groups

exactly, but it makes it harder on underage groups cause there parents will get other parents smart remarks

but my mom is cool about that
