extracting layers from song???

k this might sound retarded.............

well most ppl get this when u dont plug your earphones properly into your cd walkman/mp3 player etc:
It appears to extract all the bass and very faintly play the drums and singing, but leaving the guitar perfectly sound.

is there a programme where you can extract layers from a Song to get the same effect???

Maybe fruity loops can, but I know nothing about that.

I dont think you can on FL, but then again im not totally sure?1?

I think the left channel and right channel are different

yeah a program for that would be useful, so you could make your own insutrumentals and shiz.

I dunno.. I always wonder how DJ's extract vocals from hip hop songs to remix them.. yeah I want to know as well, there's some lame ways to pitch n flange your songs and hear the voice (in a lame way) and just a tiny bit of the beat.. but its gay.

ive found a forum which knows how but what they say is to complex for me

the way most djs do it is by purchasing the acapella or instrumental...
they usually come on the vinyl singles...
but to split up the layers...I dunno it's really complex...I don't think any program can do it since it's all spliced together...

on Gold Wave you can do that, and lots of other stuff, but you've gotta pay 1 cent for every action you do, it's a bit wierd but it's a good program

im dont wanna completely delete certain instruments, just make then less defined thn the guitar.

im sure u can do it, I mean the head phones not bein plugged in properly obviously means certain layers come out at different parts.

if u get what I mean...................cos I dont think I do :s
