I heard of something that alot of hg's use that is a camera stand you can build to make it hold the camera still, and help reduce shaky footy.. anyone know anything about this?

Ive heard of that as well, how do you build one though.

I generaly take quite still camera footage. The only time I shake is when I video something really funny. I just crack up and start shaking, (ive ruined a couple of shoots this way).

Of course I know what a tripod is. I just couldnt understand the way resistance described it.

"is a camera stand you can build"

If he meant tripod, he could have just said a camera stand. The "you can build" part completely threw me.

No, it isnt a tripod. Yes you build it yourself.. its been brought up in the homegrown video cam thread on ckyforums, and I'm not looking to buy a tripod.

Wait is it like a crane type of thing, thats a bit low to the ground, and you hold it from a handle? if so, i think it tells you how to build one at www.digiskate.net
