Origin of Team Names

Hi there, I just thought id make a thread about the origin of teams name because sometimes they can be interesting.
Team Slop came from:
I dont know bout UK but in Canada a "disrespectable" nickname for a cop is a "Pig"
so my friend is like, "were food for pigs man"
im like...were...Slop! so yeah ... post em.

I have no idea how Delayed Reaction came about. It just did.

No Mercy used to be our stable in backyard wrestling, every week there would be a diff backyard show somewhere, and as no mercy we went and wrestled on each show
Then when the cops kept comming down on us for the shows, we got into the homegrown stuff, and decided to keep the name. However before we decided to use no mercy, we were gonna call ourselves IBM:Influenced by Media

The name itself comes from multiple sources, karate kid, the old gladiator combat stuff, stuff like that.

well someone called us fucking annoying cuz we the the crutches prank, so basically thast how F.A.T. Videos came about. Its not cuz im fat :O

originaly we had a skate comp. called woody's inc, broke up. then I started a zine called freak, got into homegrown and added .inc 1 cause it was from woody's .inc and 2 cause it looks fly and it is spell freak.inc all lower case and a period before the inc if you do it anyother way you balls will shrink

we were called "A kick in the fools", hahahahahaha how gay

at first my friend came up with a name swb: strathroy wilb boyz, but then I slaped him and said... no then he called me an idiot and slaped me then somthing clicked and I figgered out that we should be called village idiots and they lived happly ever after

ive seen like 50 threads about the same topic

I will take this time to explain why I chose the name .inn0cent.:

It all began a dark, stormy night whilst playing Quake III Arena. I came to the conclusion that I needed a name, because I was becoming really good at fragging things.. and being as my brother had started a clan, I thought, "Hey, I bet if I think of a name and improve more, I could join his clan! AND, I'D BE THE ONLY GIRL!"

So, first off, I chose 'rejekt'.. 'cause come on, that's cool.. the.. misspelling and all. YES, UBER COOL. But, then, I realized, I'm not so much of a reject.. (I am, but anyways..)

So, I decided 'Innocent' sounded cool, 'cause I could act all innocent and pretend like I'm a wuss at Quake then the next thing you know I'm whipping out my rail gun and fragging your ass to HELL!!1one

In the end, I had to let my uber 1337ness shine through alittle, so I changed the 'o' to an '0' and added random dots on each side.. and TA DA, I came up with this sexy beast.

well I came up with the name chelsea cause it's my name and my other one was to long and crap.

in some fat chick porno..the lady kept all the man a weak sister. When my friend and I were helping my father move out of his apartment..we had to pick up big heavy shit and move it. When we start to go down the stairs we would always start to slip and he would say "oh come you weak sister" just like the lady said in the fat chick porno.

Thats basically how it started. Later we realized that it fit pretty well cause the dictionary said weak sister meant a weak or undependable member of a group...and the whole idea was to not be a pussy and push each other into doing shit we didnt want to do. We would just dare eachother to do shit..and if someone completed the dare you would have to do what ther dare you.

Wanted a 3 lettered name, that rhymed to sound better, BTD was a random one, and all letters rhyme when pronouced.

Then I needed to think up what each letter could be and thought born to die.

Was random, but I love it and never thought twice about it...

we were always Stupid People Do Stupid Things... but started working in SPDST... and now we're more normally known as SPDST.

Kind of obvious how the name came about...

Arse was a funny word we always said, and Marks means your a fan of something (if you like Skateboarding, your a Skateboard mark) and we threw the 2 together.
