I was just wondering how many of the groups on here are participating?

CustomScar is done we just need to submit our entry. I am hoping to see something from BI, RAS, TCV, and LSD. Come on guys join in on this awesome thing.

LSD have some good material planned, and coincidently, we were planning for a music video before this contest had been mentioned.

Does this give us an unfair advantage => if so, we will use it to beat you all.

There is a list of songs that you have to use. I will list them in a bit.

The videos are all due before August 1st.

Do we have to choose from a list of songs?

We have already planned for a certain song, and would not like to tell you the name unless completely necessary.

If our song is not on the list, could you add this to the list, and then anyone could use it if they wished.

I dont have anything to do with the competition except for the competing part. I think the list was final.

The Official Local-Felons.com Music Video Contest

Boner's contest was quite a hit and we saw some good videos and that's what I'm looking to get out of you guys again. Some quality material, that I know most of you are worthy of.

I've developed a list of 11 songs, yes 11 [SEE BELOW]. I believe that's quite a lot, but that's enough to keep everyone happy. If you hate everything, I'm sorry, but it is a contest and you should be working with what your given. The song choosing was based on what I thought would make a good video and suggestions by those on the forums as well.

The rules are very simple.

1. Use one of the 11 songs available
2. Make a music video using said song
3. Submit your video to me via a link or an upload to my AIM [ kirbypuckett] or EMAIL [[email address redacted]]
4. Video is due on AUGUST 1ST, NO LATER!!!!
If you cannot comply to this date talk w/ me privately and we'll discuss the matters

The contest of the music videos is up to you. Some of these songs have themes and I would like for you to go with the flow of the song, but for the tunes that are vague on details then do whatever you please [skit, stunt, porn, etc...]

Once the videos are turned in, I along with the rest of my homegrown group the Local-Felons will judge your videos on a series of attributes. I will also place a poll on this website and the people can vote for their favorite which will play a good chunk out of the final results. So basically you have to impress me, my pals, and your peers here on ckyforums.com

There will be a prize to the winning group. It's a mystery prize. I'm going to grab a decent sized cardboard box from work and from now until the end of the contest I will fill that box up w/ whatever. Others will pitch in aswell. There's going to be some really cool stuff, but also some weird shit, because that's just how I roll.

I'd love for every homegrown group to join, just for fun. It's not really about the prize here for me, that's why it's gonna be mixed bag. To me I'd rather see a lot of you guys, my peers do the best you can do. I don't care if you're a beginning HG group or one of the top let's see what you got. This is really a test to see who's got the best ideas, editing, acting, etc. under certain circumstances.
