No, it's detachable though. The vx1000 doesn't come with a viewfinder, thats why I put this one on here.

It was one of the first consumer cams, and I have no clue why they didn't put the viewfinder. The cam cost me $1500 and then the LCD was about $200.

HAha thats just how my room looks, that pic fell off my wall and I just plopped my cam down on my laptop and took the pic. And I just got glasses last week so I'm still getting used to them.
