Actually, if you think logically, there would possibly be homegrown if jackass never started. Because skate videos were released many years before jackass started, and they had some stunts in them. Also, CKY, that came before jackass.

Well I like jackass, but thats my opinion,

and my view would be that if jackass didnt start, there prolly wouldnt be as many homegrown groups out here, only the ones before jackass and so on, well thats how we started, by copying mainly CKY, and Jackass also thats my opinion

I like some of the stuff that jackass do ... golf karts are classic

I think we would still be here if jackass wern't about .... they just made the whole stunts malarky known to the world but people were doing it before them

It was so obvious that jackass was going to happen... CKY was really hot... the random stupidity and stunts in skatemovies was very popular... if it wouldnt have been jackass it would've been somebody else doing the same stuff...

MTV shaped jackass into what they are/became with their million dollar budget...
MTV gave them their succes... they'd given it to anyone with a descent plan & crew
that's the way I see it...

I may just be talking shit but I think different proffesional teams influenced different parts of homegrown groups

There always was a stunt phenom out there... it all started with Buster Keaton, this guy did the craziest stunts ever.. unfortunatly his footage is hard to find...

I never got into Jackass...so if it never happened I dont think it would change much for Weak Sister.

I dont really know what it was that influenced me. Maybe nothing. I just remember I got into filming when I was really young. I started off making stupid action movies with my neighbor. Then I started to bring my camera to class in middle school. I guess the more interesting my life got, the more of it I would film. By the time I became a teenager...filming my life meant filming petty crime, fights, young skanks, and all the other random shit you do in highschool.

when we started out, we were mainly influenced by trigger happy tv, then we developed in our own way, so without jackass we would still be here I think.

And as for the homegrown community in general, I think it would be here, but not as many groups, still all the main ones.
