4GF.net ReLaunch

I've been working on some of the design elements for the new 4GF website currently in the works. As such I would like to get some feedback as to what you guys think should be changed (in terms of features, ease of navigation, etc) from the current site.

As of now I plan to revamp the entire code that I had created for the photo gallery and video clip system (hand coded by yours truly). To begin with "movies" and "clips" will be seperated into two specific categories as I know some people had trouble finding the clips. The video clip system will no longer be seperated into categories, instead they will be displayed 9 clips per page (mini pics of the clips which then link to the clip info page).

Some other things will also be worked on, but I figure I might as well get some input before I list out everything I plan on doing.

iv always liked the big photo banners, my only prob with the site was the navigation with clips but you know about this prob External image not preserved — inspect source: http://homegrownforums.com/html/emoticons/Copy of happy.gif

holyshit that is nice....if I ever get around to making a site I want it to look like that

The new design is quite a bit darker to better represent what it is that we do, besides the old layout reminded me too much of winter, and well winter is over now so woohoo. And yes the clip navigation was pourly done, I concentrated too hard on trying to make a good coded system when in reality I should have made it as easily accessible as possible given that our primary content is our clips.

You guys use a wheel chair logo..........Good site layout though.

Well, I don't know what made me think of this, maybe that avatar, but I have seen shirts with President Bush on it that says "Not my president" so I figured I would throw this together in paint. Hopefully this doesn't cause a war....

Gah my thread has been hijacked, if you want to discuss the pope and such create another thread (or if one exists use it). Anyway back to subject matter.

Yeah we've had the wheelchair punk for a number of years now (before bmwcrew ripped it... grr) although I have suggested to the crew that we go for a change. But the new logo is still under works and will most likely be released when we start the promotion for our 4GF: Road Trip.

As far as the site goes, progress is still being made, I hope to have the new site up by the end of the Month, and hopefully if time permits I will also have PHG/HGC finished around the same time (note I am also working on upgrading another community site I run).

With that said if anyone can think of some other comments on things they think need to be changed or new features you would like to see, post'r here.
