what are scratch disk, thats the wierdest real error ive had

Scratch disks are the the HD space that's dedicated to photoshop, maybe you don't have enough space, or your trying to work with a huge ass document.

yeah, I was trying to do a 6 foot by 8 foot document , and ps dir is located on my smaller drive (20 gigs) and I save most files on the other drive 80 gigs,
