Basically I got the idea from reading about Viva La Fenix going on MTV. What would your opinion be on using the new HGF promo being created by kuffi and vode as advertisment for the forum and community? If this worked, would you be willing to burn it to a few small discs and pass it out among people in your city/town. some local store will hand out your stuff with other products or even have them on a side as a freebie.
Basically im asking if you could get it noticed around your area.
Please give your opinion!

Yeah man, but this will aquire alot of help from this community, but this is how things move on and get bigger. This might sound dumb aswell I was thinking of aswell like (THE BEST OF HOMEGROWN 2005) like a dvd or a big clip on the net of all groups takign part showign the best of their shit on the year.

A dvd would be too hard to organize, but an online clip MAYBE could work.

Well actually DVD yeah,,,woudl e to much, but the clip am shure could work perfectly, have like couple people doing different edits, adn then do like massive vote then post the main one like around November time or something. Anything filmed aroudn the time of 2005. That would be sweeeet.

yeah, well this thread is all about ideas for how it could work. I would burn the "promo" to cd and hand them out in the streets if need be. Leeds is a really busy place, and local stores I no (HMV, VIRGIN MEGASTORES) have like a shelf where you can put your own stuff, (after they have checked it of course) and people can pick them up for free. simalar to what they do with free internet trial discs. a attractive cover would catch attention im sure!

lol ok, well when vode and kuffi finish the clip, we should still have a go at the idea, not every one has to help, but the die hard homegrown groups would help im sure. I no I would try.

no I mean in the one near me there is like a "take one free" shelf, it has things like internet trail cds and small bands demos and stuff. im sure that I could get the hgf one on.

iv got better things to do with my life then stand on the street and give people cd-rs with stunts burnt onto them about a stunt forum,
but ill let the "die hard homegrown forum members" have all the fun in doing that. im sure they will enjoy it, hey why not even film it aswell and post it up here?

Dont always be so negative Webby, no one said you had to hand them out or owt, othings could be done to make people notice it. Place it on your site or something, after all your team is involved in it I think. And by the "die hard homegrown forum members" I ment teams who like to get involved and try to get people noticed. It would hurt to try man. But meh....

I still dont get why we cant do the dvd. Just put 2 min trailers of each group then either sell it cheap or give them away. What about writing them on dollars? Porn sites do that a shit load.

I gotta agree with webby on this...promoting the site is pretty lame
and I hate to say it but HGF is slighty going downhill and turning into ckf with the shit topics and pointless arguements...
so what's the point in promoting a site full of 12 year old wannabes to people in the street....I'd rather try and promote myself, which I don't even do that...
oh and I'm not just trying to start shit...I'm being honest...
