How Good Is My Camera

Do you think this overall is a pretty good camera? I bought this about August 2004 and I still love it. Not the best camera, but good quality. My Camera

Please Tell me if it's any good.

I bought a VideoOh! Thing for like $150 to transfer footage from cam to pc using USB and the quliaty isnt bad at all..

Yeah, DV is the shizzle, HI8 is a little outdated now.

I generally like Digital8... if you are thinking a upgrade I would at least think buying a D8, its usually cheaper and I think it can use Hi8 tapes so... For cheaper models in DV and D8 only difrence is size, but you can buy longer tapes for D8 (they cost more though).

But research before buying.

EDIT: eh, you asked about your cam... It works but other than that... I wouldnt buy that. I think I would think next cam soon.

hi8 is so gay.. most Di8 sony cams u can pick up for 250 dollars now are better in quality than most MiniDV cams that cost around 500 dollars tho.

I know nothing about cameras, but I do indeed need a new one.

TOM- I don't think that your camera is HORRIBLE, but it may help to implement a FireWire card into your computer...the quality will increase dramatically, I promise. Keep up the shitty work btw.

I dont think u can hook up Hi8 cams with Firewire

yeah u can, we do I think. we have varied cams, soem hi 8 some mini dv.

Must be digital 8 then. I have a hi8 cam that's about 6 years old and I can only capture tapes from it using my digital8 cam.

ok yeha my bad, just asked jay....im absoloutly shite when it comes to remmebring what we got and how we use it....I can work the camera fine though!!!! tht is my only skill
