If you're into the whole paranormal ghost hunting stuff, try to find some "haunted spots" in your hometown or local area, I googled it and found a few in my town:
Dawson Springs - Lick Creek Cemetery - Numerous incidents have been reported over the years at this small cemetery just outside Dawson Springs. Glowing eyes, ghosts of the dead, things appearing and disappearing.
Dawson Springs - Miners Cemetery - It is a site where a mine ran under a part of early Dawson Springs. The mine was abandoned and eventually collapsed taking the houses on top of it down with it. At night if you stay you will see a strange fog come in, after that you will hear rocks start to fall.
Dawson Springs - Olney Road - McNeeley graveyard - about 3 miles down Olney Road. A road to the right Walter Calvert road. Up the road about 1 mile a grave yard on right named McNeeley. You will hear a baby crying at night. - Always get permission or tell the proper authorities before exploring this site after hours.
Dawson Springs - West Hopkins accelerated school - There are rumors that the school is haunted. slamming doors, doors not opening, and hearing things.
The Shy Flat Cemetery Hauntings
An old church stands outside Dawson Springs on Highway 109 South. It sits back from the road surrounded by trees and a cemetery. It's not hard to find as it is located just past the Outwood Facilities on your right if coming from Dawson.
The church and grounds has a long rumored history of being haunted. Repeated tales of apparitions and manifestations have surfaced down through the decades and people still swear to this day that they have encountered ghostly spirits in this lonely place.
