IMO:
The Grudge --> sucks, they had no idea how to put scary elements and good tensio in the movie.
Ju-on (the original movie) --> much better, too bad I first saw The Grudge so I knew some things were going to happen but but the whole tension, angles and music was better. There were also more weird twists which I like and made this movie much better. A lot of these scenes weren't in The Grudge.
It looks like the director of The Grudge tried to make a "the best of Ju-on" with just the most important parts of the movie so it would be easy for you to understand it.. without the scary elements Ju-on had.

Watched this, it wasn't actually scary but I'd say it was more of a thriller. Still not bad for a movie filmed in like 18 days, and shot in 1 location (warehouse)

I actually cant believe I've been stupid paying 20 bucks for a DVD all the time. People seem to buy it, watch it once and put it on Ebay for 5 bucks so fuck that

They cut alot of stuff out of the grudge to get the ratings lowered. Stuff that helps explain the background more, like the beating the kid and killing the wife (strangling, the reason she makes that noise) a special edition grudge is coming out with those deleted shits. ju-on was by far the better film

japenese films in my opinion are always better. actually every foreign film is better than a hollywood film. I watched this movie awhile back called maria full of grace and it was set it mexico about a girl who becomes a drug smuggler and shit. it was really good.

the first grudge sucked so much dick I wanted to bitch slap every one in the movie, alot like I wanted to bitch slap every one in great expectations by charles dickons, but the grudge sucked, it was over hyped and sucked
also I don't like most forein films unless theres a shit load of naked ass, but I do like indepent films alot more than I like I like hollywood shit, I like how hg movies are basicly all set dogma 95 style if there stunt based I mean

the grudge was one of the shitest movies ever...and I have seen a lot of shit movies thanks to my friends.But the grudge was just wrong.I'm not sure who directed it but whoever it was needs to watch a documentary on making horror movies..or something.
Haven't seen Ju-on..don't plan to either.

when I saw ju-on in the theater...the whole audience was laughing how stupid it was. The director did a sit-in at this theater the week before..I wonder if the audience laughed at the screening also. What a burn.
