4GF: FOR the GOOD of the FILM

This is xar (antonio/xarnet/gnet) from the 4GF crew, as mentioned in a previous thread, some of you from ckf might have heard of 4GF. But for the majority of you who haven't, I figure I might as well give you guys a short introduction.

We are a small amature stunt/skit crew based out of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. We started filming quite some time ago (must have been like 2000 or so, perhaps a tad later), and have slowly creeped our way towards some moderate success. Our first dvd sold around 50 copies, which is not too bad, considering we did very little advertising, or attempted sales, most sort of sold themselves.

In terms of the future outlook for 4GF, we have and continue to go through minor crew changes, ie people coming and going. This summer we plan on releasing our 2nd DVD, although in reality it will be a re-release of 4GF: FOR the GOOD of the FILM. We will edit out much of what is in the original dvd, primarily because those outside of Sarnia (and in some cases outside of the crew) will not fully understand the hilarity of the DVD. As such some newer content will replace the more inside joke type stuff, so that it will have a more global appeal. We will then be going on a road trip to film for our new dvd 4GF: Road Trip, which will hopefully include a visit to roughly every major city in Ontario, Canada. On our trip we plan to promote as much as possible while filming our craziness.

Hey funk_master_steven, the original dvd release was decent at best, I mean basically it had some awesome and crazy stuff, and then a bunch of stuff that really only the 4GF crew or people from Sarnia would understand. So in that sense it wasn't that great for the average person, although everyone single person who has seen it has found some of the stuff to be hilarious (usually different for each person). So as previously mentioned what we intend on doing is removing all of the stuff that wouldn't apply to everyone, and then replace it with some of our newer footage that is way better anyway. Basically if you want to buy a copy of the dvd, wait for the re-release.

DEX our trailer is essentially the beginning to it all, so that is only footage from like our first week of filming. Since then we've done a ton of more crazy stuff, so the re-release of the DVD should be far superior to the trailer. Once the re-release is done, I will throw together a new trailer that better represents the product being sold (ie our stupidity).


AP Bill, Oshawa may certainly be a stop we make, once we get a general idea of when we will be doing this, for how long, I can start planning out a map/schedule at which point we could discuss possible meet ups for group filming, which could prove to be rewarding for both our crews (ie where we promote 4GF will help promote your crew, and where you promote your crew it will help 4GF).

I believe he's referring to the bouncer slap, which was staged to a certain degree. Basically I knew the bouncer, as I had once worked with him at another bar, and he also happens to be the brother of a good friend of mine. But he didn't know I was going to slap him, and he did chase me down and threw me against a wall and punched me a couple of times for slapping him in the face. So in that sense I still got hurt, mind you not as much as I would have had he not recognised me once he caught me.

lmao yeah that was probably one of my favourite things I've done thus far, mind you most of my older audience (ie parents, family) hate that one the most because I rarely swear in front of them, yet I went crazy in the clip. What's kind of funny is I didnt plan to go as psycho as I did, but the result was well worth it, and I was glad that the bus driver was who she was, might explain why I went mental (she's a real bitter bitch).

It wasn't staged, I just happened to know who the guy was, and at least I made that clear, I could have easily just pretended and know one would be the wiser.
