I have had the shittest luck with making DVD's lately. I used to make them sweet but it isn't working these days. O.k so pretend that I have recieved an AVI video or MPG. What do I do from there ? What programs are the best for converting ? What programs are the best for ripping ? What prgrams are the best for burning ? What program allows me to do most of this and make a succesful DVD with as much as ease as possible ?
P.S Nero sucks !

Search Google for: TMPGEnc
Convert your AVI to MPEG2 format (even MPG to MPEG2). Very simple program.
Download a DVD authoring tool such as DVD Lab, DVDit etc....search google for these.
Drop them in, fart abotu with a menu, create DVD image to your hardrive, then burn with Nero.
Simple.

What's the purpose of the DVD lab shit ? What do I use that for ?

Author DVDs, you import your MPEG2 files, make a menu, and then create the DVD itself before burning to disk.

Now what ? I have 2 files on my desktop as well, one of the sound of the film and the ohter is the video...
