Youtube Rippers

since the update of youtube a few months ago, I have had some trouble using the traditional methods to rip youtube vids for editing purposes. does anyone know of any good browser addons or websites that can still manage to get through the new way? ive seen some rippers that work well for safari on macs, but I have a PC, and im using chrome.
