Not sure how it happened. Just went to take a macro picture and noticed it was really hard to focus. Was going to see if anyone knew what it could be, and if it is an easy fix, or should I take it in.

Check the electronic contacts, then fully make sure it's properly attached.
If not, probably condensation in which case leave it to dry out.

Ok must not be noticeable. Look at the difference in the distance on the left and right sides of the lens shaft. Shaft is bent
A bent shaft is never good. Haven't messed with it though because I don't know if its an easy fix or not.

Do you remember dropping it or bashing it on something? If there is no sign of damage you could claim a new one under warranty if you have one...

I'm gonna take it into the place where I got it in the morning. Been less than a month and the dude was cool. It was used though. I baby my camera's. I wouldn't let anyone in bordumb use them haha. I don't recall hitting it on anything, but if the lens was in my bag, and it was zoomed so the tube was out, and I sat it down? Maybe then?

I mean like if there are scratches on the side or something then it might look obvious that it was dropped and then the guy would refuse refund. If there are no visible marks then they can't assume anything.

Oh no. Like I said I take care of the shit, it's in my hands, or in its bag. So there's no damage because it would have had to have impacted something whilst in the bag.

If he's like "Theres nothing I can do" either find a Canon store, look for a solution online and if that fails, all bets are off and just fuck with it yourself.

So the guy @ the camera shop said game over. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. Wrapped it in my hoodie and hit it flush with the steering wheel. Popped back in place. Not sure how much the IS is affected though. Here are two pictures I took with it after getting it working. Auto focus doesn't work, but I never used it anyways. I'm not sure if it's my eye sight when focusing or what. How can you be sure the camera is set up to your eye sight?
