and chip some of the filters are usefull .... I dont stay right away from them

guasian blur for a start is awesome at making a tenticle effect

I use blur and sharpen a lot.

No, no I do use filters but in subtles ways, like you guys said gaussian and sharp/unsharp are great, sometimes I apply regular filters to mask selections and channels, like I said I didnt wanted to sound bigheaded,aaaaaaaanyways I'm working on the next round.
