well mines dotn give a fuck anymore, they have just stopped moaning cause they have realised im a hill billy External image not preserved — inspect source: http://homegrownforums.com/html/emoticons/Copy of crazy.gif . lol. But parents just usually ask "you doing well in college" YEAH mum Yeah dad WATEVER! lol
Well atm I am workign on a borring essay, I thought ad let yous see it, I gotta get up in 3 hours to college! This is for MARKETING

QUOTE Market Segmentation has had an influence on the number of people visiting the Theme Park. There are 5 different types of market segmentation which are Geographic, Demographic, Social, Psychological and Economics.

Geographic Segmentation
Knowing where your customers live can be very helpful so can organize and try and make traveling more easily for people like trying to give directions etc.

Demographic Segmentation
Demographic Segmentation is the study of population, so it looks into markets of age, family size, gender and stage in life. For Example age, different age groups will have different tastes for different products.

Social Segmentation
Social Segmentation, concentrates on the market according to employment.

Psychological Segmentation
This looks into personal behavior, attitudes and motivations. A detailed questionnaire can get a full picture of a person’s personality.

Economic Segmentation
In this part of market segmentation, it is good about finding how the customer spends and approximately earns. It is very good to target different groups with more or less money to spend.

As numbers have been falling, it is my job to try and find out why.
Psychological Segmentation is my choice to try and increase the numbers of visitors in the theme park. This will be very effective as I will be able to get to know the customers deeply, and find out what are they looking for and what they expecting of the theme park. Handing questionnaires to all the customers entering the theme park will be very good, as it will have a lot of questions about the theme park and about customer’s life. This will be very helpful and should be very helpful to start new campaigns of advertisement and also improvement of theme park for customers.

It is my job to try and halt the decline and to increase the number of visitors to the theme park. I will be trying to find out the customers needs and likes by doing some research, promotion and also some mailing. Also introducing new attractions, features in the theme park and new offers.
External Research
By contacting the (BTA) British Tourist Authority, some research and also surveys can be purchased. From used surveys, by comparing information can be contrasted, and see how the company is performing in relation to the overall purchasing behavior of its likely markets. Most surveys have information about the number of visitors to different attractions. So by buying surveys that have been used for other theme parks, a contrast between the theme parks will be seen.
Internal Research
Internal Research usually takes onsite of the park. Selecting random customers at the park and collecting couple of answers such as nationality, age and social class, party size and mix, day of the week and year of the visit, method of entry into Loch Ness, Length of stay, and length of queues. The internal research conducted with a known sample size that enables the theme park to influence data derived from the visitor review as a part of the total number of visitors annually. So if 35 of them 3,500 interview was Spanish and the annual admissions totaled 1 million, the attraction could estimate that it has received around 10,000 Spanish visitors a year.
Financial Targets
Evaluating performance against financial targets will be a new insertion to the team’s workforce. This will give an idea to management of what is needed to improve. By having targets each year, there will be heavy promoting and development as of trying to reach the target or go over it. This will give the organizers/managers the push that will make many changes in the park to regain customers.
Surveys/ Telephone Surveys/Mailing Surveys
Surveys will be prepared for customers visiting the theme park, customers that have previously filled in surveys and left contact numbers and also mailing surveys. Mail Surveys are inexpensive way to survey, especially if response rate is high. A disadvantage is the lacks of one-to-one interviews are much more likely to survey a larger number of people. Customers that answer have a great advantage of taking their own time of filling the survey on their time. Telephone surveys are very compensating but expensive. The main advantage is that by having an order to ask questions, the researcher can leave out questions if they are not applicable. Disadvantage is that many people hang the phone as of privacy thoughts and also can be expensive if long distance call is made. The best method of surveying is handing out surveys to customers after they have spent time in the theme park. This will give fresh answers and mostly honest. Looking up to the answers will be good for the company as of looking what people do enjoy/don’t enjoy, so changes can be made.
Promotion/Advertisement
Main point of the stage is getting the product “out there” to people so promoting it is important. Promotion such as advertisement on radio, TV, newspaper and bill boards will increase the theme parks visitants. Also by adding new rides into the theme park and same time doing heavy advertisement letting public know about it, will bring in more customers. By giving new offers on pricing also will attract more public.
Survey
The questions have to be very specific as if not the answers will be all different from other customers and also questions that apply to most of the customers. This Questionnaire is designed for any customer in the theme park. A questionnaire has been chosen as there can be put many different type of questions for the customers to answer of, also it can be done fast and efficiently.

Questions

1. What was your favorite feature in the theme park? (Choose from a,b,c,d)(May choose more than one option)

8. Would you please write a short paragraph of your day in this theme park and any comments or                                                                            any changes you would like to undergo.

Marriot have a great campaign, J.Williard Marriot says that the most important job is the “Listening to the customer”. This meaning that by listening, researchers can learn a lot from the customer, such as wide point of views, likes and dislikes of the product. If any complains, then they should al be read and be dealt with as by improving on complains the product can be improved a lot and this would attract many new and old customers.
There have been couple of surveys that can be used to obtain information such as:
-UK Tourism Survey (2002) -Visitor Attractions Monitor
-Tourism Attitudes Survey
From these different surveys different information can be obtained.
