Does anyone know any really good video compressors around? I mean by that, ones that make files reasonably smaller but without much loss of quality.

Windows Movie Maker Does it, but u will have a loss of quality

well there is
WinRaR which is pretty cool, dont know if you have heard of it, but sometimes doesnt compress very well, but you should try it

I know all about win rar, zip, ace etc. Compression of video files sucks coz it only makes it like 0.2mb smaller.

wmm is the best I think for puttign vids on the net, use the 512kbp/sec for broadbans setting, tht wht we normally use.

I duno if I understand what u mean but if u mean what I think u do then try windows media encoder

I use sorenson squeeze.

www.virtualdub.org
Load your video into it, select compression type (divx, huffy, etc etc).
Save as....
that's it...

no matter what you use to compress a video. you lose quality anyway.

I use Windows Media Encoder.
