Very bluntly, dose anyone have any knowledge as far as what it takes to get a TV show on the AIR? I mean, do you need a producer before seeing a tv network or what. Not that I want to right now or anything. Just wondering.

Not sure, but it would probably be a lot easier to get on a public access channel that on a more mainstream station

It would be all censored anyways...unless you got on HBO or something.

If you wanted a tv show you'd probably try to contact someone who works at a tv station and take it from there. If your idea is good enough im sure they'd give you a chance.

first you need to get an agent, which costs money.

then you get the agent to get in contact withy a TV station, your choice which.

then if they like your idea they offer you a contract and swindel you out of alot of money but hey your on TV!

You don't get an agent to get a show, you get an agent to be in a show, like an actor! You'd need a really good original idea, a pilot episode and you'd need to find some numbers and contacts to try and arrange a meeting with various stations.

I can ask my stepmom, she was the executive producer or married w/ children... External image not preserved — inspect source: http://homegrownforums.com/html/emoticons/Copy of smile2.gif

my guess would be this though...I think they way shows usually get started is someone will pitch a script to a network..and if the network likes it...they'll give you a budget to do a pilot..if the pilots tests well..they'll have you shoot a full season..and then they'll air it. If the show does well...they'll contract everyone to do more seasons..

so I think you would need an agent to get started..

you might wanna look into getting a local cable access show though....my friend has his own show and all he does is talk shit about local churches for about an hour. He can cuss and show nudity on it too. Sometimes local cable access places will even provide you with some hi-end equipment to make your show...like 3ccd cameras and wireless mikes.

TV for the HG.... It would Never Happen.

If we hit the TV doing our stuff then every Kid in the world will copy because they will think "Oh I wil hurt my self and then get on TV"

We'll inspire kids to do stunts and stuff, so it would never happen
