Setting Yourself On Fire

I want to do some more fire stunts, but I have seen what happens when I play with fire so I wanted to ask you guys what you think.
Whats the best substance to cover myself in? I want something that looks good but gives me the least possible risk of ending up looking like freddy kruger. Also is there any special techniques? How many layers of clothing should I wear? How long can I be on fire before I burn?
