Ok, so about a year ago, I was messing with my camera and I let this girl I know use it for about 2 min. I had to leave soon after so she just handed it to me and I put it back in it's case. As far as I knew, everything worked fine. Then I got home and the lcd screen wouldent turn on. I was like "what the fuck?!" cause I didnt even drop it or anything. I tried everything and the damn thing still wouldent work.

So, I brought it back to best buy and they didnt know what to do. They said I'd have to send it to sony and pay to have it repaired. Well I didnt want to have to pay, but I decited it was the only way. When it came back the screen worked fine and it only had a few minor scratches (FUCK YOU SONY! BE MORE CAREFUL WITH MY SHIT!) and I didnt really care THAT much as long as it worked.

Soon after I realized that it was making this weird noise. It's loud whenever it has a tape in it. It pisses me off because it's this annoying noise in the background of whatever I film and whenever I watch a video I filmed before I sent it back it never made that noise External image not preserved — inspect source: http://homegrownforums.com/html/emoticons/Copy of fool.gif

Anybody got any ideas to make it quieter?

Sounds like the motor is slightly disaligned, that chick musta dropped it, or it got damaged when you moved house?

Its best to ring up sony if your cam is still under warantee, or get it repaired, because fucking with the inside of a cam is highly precarious

No warranty left. Last repair cost $70 and I say fuck that. I could buy one of those fancy mics that go on top for that much and the sound still works. Thing that sucks most is I'm not the one who made it make this noise, sony is. But instead they just fill out this form and say "had minor scratches on it" and then they're allowed to be less careful with it. Assholes.

You know in the local felons videos how it's got that loud noise whenever theres a silent part? It's just like that.

Meh, well tell sony if they don't repair it free of charge, you'll rape the owners dog, LOEL.

Smack the cam against a table, bound to help biggrin.gif
