Wilbur's Guide to getting more traffic to your homegrown site.


1.) Link exchange with every site that is similar or gets a good ammount of traffic.

This will help your site and others get higher in search engines rankings and also bring traffic to your site that is interested in what your site has to offer.


2.) Join toplists.

Toplist sites help get your site a lot more traffic and all you have to do is get a few clicks into them.

3.) Submit your site into search engines.

Using these sites, submit your site into as many search engines as possible. Make sure on your homepage you have put all of the keywords you think people will search for so your site can get as much traffic as possible.

4.) Create a myspace.com account.

5.) Post your videos on related forums.

6.) Post your site at some link dumps.

Instead of listing a ton of link dumps, heres a site with a HUGE list of them.

7.) Post your site in your signature at any forums you post on.

This is a good way to get some extra traffic. Just provide a link in your signature and people will click it if you give an interesting description.

8.) Actually have something good on your site.

Lets face it, if you have a site that just flat out sucks, nobody is going to visit it twice. Make sure your site actually has something to offer before you start promoting it.

First time I ever made one so it's not as organized as something someone else would make. Still covers pretty much everything I did and my site used to get about 7000 unique hits per month.

That's a good guide. That includes a lot of the techniques I have used to get traffic to my site.
