Need Help

Basically, ive installed my firewire card (which worked on my old computer) into my new one, for some reason it doesnt read (not even a thing comes up saying new hardware has been added), ive been told it could be because the card is not compatible with vista (as I was running Xp on my old comp)
anyone know if that could be the problem?

also in the mean time, ive been trying to use USB (just so I can get back into the swing of editing and get used to it), the computer read the camera this time, it said I needed to install drivers, so I did that, but when I click on "import from camera" on WMM (I dont have vegas anymore) , it comes up saying it cant find a video camera device

could anyone help a brother out ?

What cam do you have? On mine you need to go into the menu and switch on USB Stream for it to work.

Try a different USB port.

Just done that and it comes up saying its installing video capture and audio capture stuff, but yet again when I go to capture video it comes up with nothing =/
