Does anyone know a place I can get FREE stock images such as people, buildings, doors etc... like objects and also backgrounds possibly?
I tried googling it but they were all like $300 or something stupid to download and use it.

deviantart would be a good place to find original dvd cover work I reckon, I'd suggest asking the artists permission first and crediting them for it though.
