my sony handycam dcr-hc32 wont connect to my computer anymore.. I put it on the dock and I turned it on and there was no delightful little ding to be heard, I went to my capturing program and it said please connect a device .. but the cam was connected and on.. I even tryed jiggling and pulling the cord out.. nothing works
whats going on????

Go to the P-Menu, then 'Burn VCD'.
Give that a go, bra.
Is the switch on the dock set to on?

isnt that for the usb cord though?

Press the little reset button inside the camera. That way if it still doesnt work its a problem with the lead or camera and not the settings.

I think its the cable or the firewire card.. but I shall try reseting it
