I use Avant. I tried firefox recently. I liked the extensions and shit. but I still love avant more. it's just simple and straight forward to what you need. even tho having a browser like friefox to make you a ham sammich. (since it does pretty much anything now) is ok. but I just wanna check my email and come here.

I use both IE and FF now. I only use IE with the google bar though cos it rocks.
FF is great it runs faster and has loads of cool add-ons that come in very handy. But the only prob I have with FF is the CSS bug. When they fix that ill use FF and only FF.
IE is ok but has too many holes. Sites and inbed a virus/trojan into a webpage and open it without you even knowing.... And even if you have a virus checker it can still pass though (Unless you have KAV 5+).
People think just because they dont find anything on there comp when they use there shitty scanners (ie Norton, McAfee) that IE is safe..... Well play into the virus coder and trojan coders hands if you like.....
I cant wait until FF is up to scratch.... IE will die when it is.
13 January 2005, 13:07 UTC#28
Tr00.
Firefox also seems to have bad support for some asp applications, such as currency converters etc can be diffucult to execute in FF.
Hopefully the CSS problem will be resolved soon, because firefox is looking like its set to hog a fair portion of the browser market. The only forseeable problem with firefox is that as it grows, exploits will be implemented for it, but with its current stability, I'm sure mozilla won't let FF be the subject of shitty coded trojans and adware.
13 January 2005, 16:34 UTC#29
Well the good thing about FF is its open sorce. Cos things get fixed quicker (normaly) and hackers/coders normaly respect open sorce programs.
But I dont think there will be as many as IE..... Its like edam cheese.... Full of holes and always will be
