The Best Mac Computer For Editing

Sorry to start a shitty thread like this, but I would really appreciate any help.

Basically my mum needs to buy a new computer for home, and basically Ive told her ill find her a good one, but I only have my intentions in mind, so basically I want to make her get an incredible mac for editing, but I dont know that much about whats good for editing.

So I was wondering if any of you guys could tell me what I should look for in a mac. Or even better the best model for editing.

Cos it looks good to me? also what would I need to look for to have 3 screens?

Has your mum said what she will mostly need it for? or is it just an office home PC?

Cause oddly enough my mum is needing a new peice of equiptment for her illustrations and we are getting a Mac for her cause my dad and I went n checked some out at the Apple store in London.

It looks like Macs are heavily supported by Final Cut Pro cause it was displayed and installed on all the macs in store.

Id recomend treking up to London to visit the store cause it sure helped us make a decision - although I wont be using it as it will be my parents but they seem very good if your looking at it from a creative point of view... Image file not present in the recovered backup

Well she knows nothing, she just wants a home computer, so I am going to make her get the best one, so I can use it for editing. The only reason she wants a mac, is cos ive convinced her there the best, but I just want to be able to use final cut pro.

But thats just the 20"...the 30" is well....very big

You should seriously go have a good ol play with the 30" and 20" ones and anything else in the Apple store if you can..its good fun and you get to try out Final Cut Pro Image file not present in the recovered backup

anytime I hear aboout a Mac and and editing, "G5" is always mentioned.
