I found the RM to be very cliche´s, all his opinions and such brewing from teenage angst. You cant turn the blind eye, blah blah, its still there, blah blah. Yes I acn watch indecline as art, because it raises feelings and has visual nice aspects to it, but its nothing spectacular. There has allways been art to show this things about society. In fact out town has photographic exhibitions. And they have to admit that its done more from entertaiment point of view than documenting. As the writer says, it should have had more of "normal" stuff they do. ANd it should have presented more like documentary, not like freak circus.
And "every student movie is tarantino ripoff" Thats funny since Tarantinos movies have allways been more or less ripoff, or tributes, to other movies. And prety much have the student film feel to them, that has been around way before tarantino, and basically grows from love to film.

it wouldnt sell if it was a normal documentary, "hi im steve I live in this box" ofcource it entertaiment, again how much replay vale would it have? its a streetlife ruckus documentary. has a huge following as being somthing different, why so much hate vode?

I probs would be more on fan level, if there wouldnt be these interviews and stuff. I definatly like the videos, but I find the crews personalities lame.
And I dont like how they are trying to give the image that tehy are doing something great; "we just want people to realise things" Fact is that, most people watch it just to be entertained. And if you are the kind of guy who ends up watching their productions, you allready have seen that stuff on the streets because you are interested in it. The suit men arent ordering these dvd´s and wathcing them.
If they would stop being artsy and hypocrits, and would admit that its just entertaiment I would like the crew more as Im fan of the videos.
Im also pretty sure that they have been involved with some beatings, like that mexicans in indecline. Thats another reason I dont like them. I could be wrong, but thats how it seems to me.
And the reason I dont want to support to company is that I dont like companys that buy footage. And this case they dotn even buy it, they jsut give some publicity. I feel its ripoff.
edit: and they are big now, hatred is allowed
