as many of you may have seen, MD made a spectacular appearance in The Sun newspaper yesterday. for those of you who haven't seen the article yet, have a look at this link: http://www.milliondead.org/articles/sun.jpg. the full story, from our end, goes like this:

we played at the barfly last tuesday for a christmas show. it was widely noticed that a certain Matt from Busted was at the gig with his girlfriend. personally, I don't see much of interest in this piece of information - the guy is entitled to go to whatever gigs he chooses, and it's nice that he wanted to check us out. some (drunk) people were vaguely giving him shit at the show, but I guess that's an occupational hazard for a boy band member, easily balanced by the cash / drugs / women etc. so we played the show and that was that.

then on boxing day I get an email allegedly from someone at The Sun asking for permission to use photos from our website. I was a little dubious as to whether this was for real, but gave the guy the standard spiel about crediting the photographer. this all happened in the evening, so not much more happened that day other than various managers / band members wracking their brains and trying to remember if anyone got pissed and shagged Jordan or anything like that.

the next morning, I get woken up by a text from my mate Slocombe telling me I HAVE to buy the sun today. seeing as he wasn't privy to any of the previous day's conversations, I take it he's for real... and hey presto, a ridiculous story about Matt from Busted getting hounded out of our "underground metal" (natch) gig. I for one have a copy of the thing stuck up on my wall, where it will remain."
