This is the first FireWire card I have ever bought or used. It installs in a PCI card slot very easy, but if you need help there is a tutorial available on this site. There is no software to be installed, you just put the card in, connect your camera via firewire cable, and use your editing program to capture. Since I have had it, it has caused no trouble at all. Belkin is a very good brand name, and this card can be purchased off of Amazon.com for about $35. I bought mine off of ebay for $25 so look around. Heres a link to the one on Amazon HERE. So overall I would recommend this card to anyone using a PC that needs to capture video.

All firewire cards are pretty much the same, and install the same likewise, the more expensive range (past 50 US) tend to capture better and include handy video editing software.
