Tonight we got the sneek peek at Ice Age The meltdown at our local theater. Here's my review.
This one had a pretty straight forward storyline, not much suprise at all. There was a lot more adult comedy in this one. The one liners were, in my opinion, better than the first Ice Age. Scrat (Sabertooth squirel) had some pretty funny parts just as the first one did. They introduce two possums (forget the names), and they have a lot of one liners that are hillarious. Sid continued stumbling apon new inventions just as he did in the first movie, which are cleverly put together. It took me a few seconds to actually figure out what he did, they don't just come out and show it. So this movie, the little ones can sit down and watch, or if you pay close attention to the movie, you find stuff thats more adult humor related.
Overall the story line, in my opinion, wasn't as good as the first movie. But the amount of humor well surpassed the first one. It's almost non-stop laughter, part after part; never really lets up. I liked this one more than the first one due to the adult humor, and the way the humor is presented. Definatly a buy when it comes out.
