slowing down video

is it posible to slow down video in vegas 4? I know how to speed it up and reverse it but I can't seem to get it to be slow.

Right click on the clip once dragged onto the timeline, click properties, then change the playback speed to anything below 1.000

just put a - before the figure, that's what you do in premiere...

Don't you just hold Ctrl and drag it out more?

Maybe that's only with 6, I dunno...

I'm pretty sure you can do this in Vegas 4.0:

Just click on the clip in the timeline, go to insert> video envelopes> event velocity.
You should now have a green bar, you can drag it up and down to change the speed.

If you double click on any part of the green line you will create a point (should be a square) then, you can just drag the points up or down, you can create as many as you want...
..For me, doing it this way, you get alot more of a smoother outcome.
