start up & bg programs

ok I used to know how to beable to set what programs start up and run when the pc is turned on. I look at the list of progs running now and its got ipodsearch.exe and shit like that...I dont even own a fucking ipod

I need this pc to stop its bullshit lagging. can anyone tell me what to do?

I dont want to have to do that EVERYTIME it starts up. iv cleaned it up before and I didnt have to wait 5mins before it had fully loaded the DT when the pc starts up

I had that problem alot. do you have the system mechanic software?

I ran that and it sped up my start up a shit load.

start > run > Msconfig > start up > change stuff there

im sure it was somthing I typed into RUN then it opened up the start up settings

Got damn you wanna talk about useful. could of used it liek4 months ago when my computers norton ran out and forgot to renew mad shit would load at startup

I got it from VIP...but I guess it went down when Karl deleted all of the shit.

I stopped start up programs in tht system machanic thing, and it made no difference too me. Apart form not letting msn run. My pc is slow as shit now, time for a reformatt soon me thinks.

I can upload System Mechanic 4 Pro but they have 6 now.
