US govnerment want Google to hand over some database information

The Bush administration on Wednesday asked a federal judge to order Google to turn over a broad range of material from its closely guarded databases.

In court papers filed in U.S. District Court in San Jose, Justice Department lawyers revealed that Google has refused to comply with a subpoena issued last year for the records, which include a request for one million random Web addresses and records of all Google searches from any one-week period.

I read that under a new law passed in 2004, the British government can monitor emails, phonecalls and faxes on any terms of suspicion. One day, the word privacy will be archaic.

I had a general studies exam today and it was politcs based. One question was on voting and I included - 'I will never vote because the government always gets in.'
